The Statistics Window

The Statistics Window lets you see gaphic/detailed statistics.

• If a host is selected in the Host Table the window will show statistics of incoming and outgoing packets for this host.
• If a host-to-host is selected in the Host to Host Table the window will show statistics of outgoing packets from one host to another.
• If an IP is selected in the IP Table the window will show statistics of incoming and outgoing IP packets for this IP.
• If an IP-to-IP is selected in the IP to IP Table the window will show statistics of outgoing IP packets from one IP to another.

Bits per second:

This window shows the number of bits per second evolution updated every 2 seconds.

Information:

	Current number of bits per second (the blue color is linked with the graphic trend)
	Average number of bits per second (the green color is linked with the graphic trend)
	Maximum number of bits per second (the pink color is linked with the graphic trend)

Misc:

• The gauge shows the current number of bits per second.
• The graphic trends show the Current/Average/Maximum bits per second evolution, up to 1 minute in the past.
• The gauge and graphic trends use an exponential scale.

Data Flow:

This window shows the number of packets and bytes sent or received updated every 500 ms.

Current Protocol:

This window shows the protocol used in the last packet updated every 500 ms.

Packet Size Distribution:

The Packet Size Distribution table shows the size of packets updated every 500 ms.

Columns:

• Leave the cursor on any column button to summon a help balloon describing the column.
• Left click on any column button to sort the table using this column.

Information:

	Range of packets size
	Number of packets within this size range
	Number of bytes within this size range
	Percent of packets within this size range

Protocol Distribution:

The Protocol Distribution table shows the type of protocol used in packets updated every 500ms.

Columns:

• Leave the cursor on any column button to summon a help balloon describing the column.
• Left click on any column button to sort the table using this column.

Information:

	Supported protocol name
	Number of packets for this protocol
	Number of bytes for this protocol
	Percent of packets with this protocol

Buttons:

• Leave the cursor on any button to summon a help balloon describing the button and showing keyboard shortcuts.

Actions:

	Left click to reset the window position (default window position will be restored)
	Left click to memorize the window position (window position will be restored as is when the application will start)
	Left click to pause/resume the display (the window will not be updated but the information will still be recorded)
	Left click to lock/unlock the statistics (Selecting another host,host-to-host,ip,ip-to-ip will not change the one displayed)
	Left click to refresh the window (the window will be updated, useful in pause mode to update the window at will)
	Left click to reset the window (the statistics will be reset)
	Left click to print the window (the window will be printed or snapshot to a file)
