The Packet Decoder Window

The Packet Decoder Window lets you view and edit a fully decoded packet.

Actions:

Left click to reset the window position/size (default window position/size will be restored)
Right click to the reset the buttons state (default buttons state will be restored)

Left click to memorize the window position/size (win. position/size will be restored as is when the application will start)
Right click to memorize the buttons state (buttons state will be restored as is when the application will start)

Left click to change the hexadecimal display width (8 > 16 > 32 > A(uto) hexadecimal numbers width)

Left click to collapse the whole tree (the expanded hexadecimal items will be closed)
Left click to expand the whole tree (every hexadecimal items will be expanded)
Left click to enable/disable the structure display (the C structure of hexadecimal items will be shown)
Left click to lock/unlock the packet (Selecting another packet in the Rx or Tx table will not change the one displayed)

Left click to edit or stop editing the packet (switch to edit / view mode)
Pressing this button lets you edit the packet in the Packet decoder window but it doesn't modify the corresponding
packet in
the Rx or Tx packet table, you can never modify a packet in the Rx packet table and the only way to
modify a packet in the Tx packet table is to press the edit button in the Tx packet table window

Left click to send the packet (the packet will be sent as is)
TCP packet only: Right to click to close the TCP connection (a corresponding TCP closing connection packet will be sent)
Left click to find a string in the window (a text will be located within the window)
Right click to find again the string in the window (the last searched text will be located again within the window)
Left click to print the window (the window will be printed or snapshot to a file)
Left click to export the packet (the packet will be exported in a readable text file, see an example here)
Left click to load a packet (a previously saved packet will be loaded)
Left click to save the table (the packet will be saved to a file)
